ONE TINLEY PARK
William Brennan
Running For Trustee Of Tinley Park, IL
William Brennan is a current Tinley Park Trustee running for his second term in the April 2023 election as part of the One Tinley Park team. William is an Agent/Owner of a State Farm Insurance Agency in La Grange IL and Rocket Mortgage Loan Originator.
Since 2019, William has served as the Trustee Liaison of the Emergency Management, Fire Department, and Police Department. He Chairs the Public Safety Commission and has served as President Pro-Tem and Chairman of The Committee of the Whole.
In early 2019, William initiated an examination of Village contracts to identify excessive risk exposure and waste. This continuing effort has already saved millions of dollars on insurance contracts. William is actively involved with negotiating and structuring many recent large-scale developments which ease the burden on residents by broadening the commercial tax base and generating sales revenue. The projects refresh existing properties, like the Brixmoor Plaza at 159th and Harlem, revitalize our downtown, like The Boulevard, or anchor an entirely new development corridor, the Loyola Medical Campus at 179th and La Grange. William is proud of his role in these efforts.
As Chair of the Public Safety Committee, William has worked to retain and recruit police and public safety personnel, keeping Tinley Park one of the safest communities in the Southland. William worked closely with other Village officials and staff to help ensure local businesses could continue operating safely throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. These early efforts helped Tinley Park maintain a solid financial position.
William and his wife Lindsay, along with their four boys live in Tinley Park’s Pottawatomi neighborhood. He is a volunteer coach with the Tinley Park Bulldogs for Baseball and Wrestling. He also serves as a volunteer on a board for St. Coletta’s of Illinois an organization that provides educational and vocational training for adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. William and his family are regular parishioners at St. George Catholic Church.
William believes that successful organizations are built on strong relationships and personal trust. William continues to build relationships through sound decision-making, unrelenting effort, and candid communication with businesses, residents, and Village Staff. William is confident he can continue building on his first-term success and help keep Tinley Park’s future shining bright.
